Job description

Our customer is a leading global media and entertainment company that creates and distributes a large portfolio of content and brands across television, film, and streaming and is available in over 200 countries and territories and over 45 languages. Headquartered in New York, NY with more than 30 office locations in the United States.


We are seeking a Marketing Strategist on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is Hybrid – 3days onsite, 2 days off role


The Marketing Strategist has experience with on-air marketing campaigns, including campaign activation and briefings, on-air planning and execution, campaign deliverables tracking, and management of interdepartmental and external business relationships and communications.



Responsibilities:

  • Support the Marketing Strategy & Partnerships team in the creation of marketing campaigns, including drafting campaign briefs and commissioning assets for owned-and-operated and paid platforms
  • Collaborate with the Coordinator to input data into proprietary systems and manage production tracking from inception to delivery
  • Maintain and update the on-air planning calendar weekly, ensuring alignment with internal media teams so campaigns are launched as intended
  • Track campaign deliverables across networks while adhering to strict timeline requirements and ensuring compliance with strategic and operational objectives
  • Serve as the primary point of communication with marketing strategy and creative teams, and media scheduling or buying divisions to facilitate timely asset delivery for internal broadcast or external placements
  • Act as the main liaison to partner marketing teams, including affiliate and distribution marketing, managing asset delivery, and vetting all pitches with brand leadership
  • Assist with the fulfillment of existing brand partnerships and coordinate with external agencies on the creation of new partnerships
  • Provide support for department managers and directors with tasks such as SharePoint filing maintenance and other administrative requirements


Qualifications

  • A college degree is preferred
  • 3+ years of marketing or advertising work experience
  • 3–5 years of direct experience in consumer marketing, consumer promotion, or the TV/streaming content industry
  • Demonstrated analytical and creative thinking skills
  • Proficiency in standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time-management skills and the ability to coordinate multiple concurrent projects
  • Flexible team player with adaptability and resilience in the face of challenges
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality regarding company and employee information
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Effective at multitasking and prioritizing under pressure
  • Capable of managing a high volume of complex projects for multiple stakeholders across departments
