Job description

Our customer is a leading global media and entertainment company that creates and distributes a large portfolio of content and brands across television, film, and streaming and is available in over 200 countries and territories and over 45 languages. Headquartered in New York, NY with more than 30 office locations in the United States.

We are seeking a Marketing Manager on a contract basis to support their business needs. Candidates may be based in either New York City or Los Angeles, with a preference for NYC-based candidates. This is a hybrid position requiring both onsite and remote work.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of integrated title plans that connect business priorities, audience engagement goals, merchandising strategy, CRM touchpoints, dotcom experiences, product opportunities, and broader platform objectives.
  • Assist with the Games cross-sell initiative, co-marketing franchise games across HBO Max instream, CRM, and in-game verticals to drive engagement across priority IP.
  • Track performance inputs, campaign learnings, regional execution notes, and process improvements to inform future priority title strategies, strengthen team workflows, and improve global consistency over time.
  • Lead operational coordination across global priority titles, ensuring CRM/R&E, dotcom, creative, copy, analytics, and regional teams remain aligned against campaign objectives, key beats, launch windows, asset availability, and approval milestones.
  • Maintain scalable planning frameworks, trackers, calendars, meeting agendas, decision logs, action items, and status documentation across pre-launch, launch, in-season, and post-campaign phases.
  • Manage cross-functional approval processes by preparing materials for review, tracking feedback, documenting decisions, escalating risks, and following up with stakeholders to keep work progressing toward key milestones.
  • Organize and facilitate global brainstorms, planning forums, execution check-ins, post-mortems, and stakeholder meetings, with a focus on clear agendas, concise recaps, actionable next steps, and continuous team alignment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in marketing strategy, campaign operations, project management, content merchandising, CRM, dotcom, streaming, entertainment, or a related field, ideally within a matrixed global organization.
  • Strong strategic and operational instincts, with the ability to manage priorities, timelines, dependencies, follow-ups, stakeholder needs, and multiple workstreams across several high-visibility campaigns.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with a demonstrated ability to bring structure, clarity, and accountability to complex cross-functional projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to summarize updates, capture decisions, and communicate next steps clearly to global stakeholders.
  • Comfort working with and influencing cross-functional partners across merchandising, CRM/R&E, dotcom, product, creative, copy, analytics, franchise, marketing, and regional teams.
  • Ability to operate proactively in a fast-moving environment, identify strategic or operational gaps, recommend solutions, and drive follow-through with limited oversight.
  • Familiarity with streaming platforms, priority title marketing, franchise/IP marketing, audience engagement, or global campaign execution preferred.
  • Experience with project management tools, spreadsheets, presentation decks, CMS platforms, or workflow management systems a plus.
  • Interest in premium scripted series, films, franchises, fandom, consumer engagement, and entertainment marketing strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with global partners or supporting international campaign rollouts a plus.

Technology Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and technologies.
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills strongly preferred, as the role requires frequent presentations to stakeholders and leadership.
