Job description
Our Customer is a consumer financial services company headquartered in Connecticut. The company offers consumer financing products, including credit, promotional financing and loyalty programs, installment lending to industries, and FDIC-insured consumer savings products through the consumer bank, its wholly owned online bank subsidiary.
We are seeking a Marketing Technology Developer on a contract basis to support our customer’s ongoing business needs. This role is 100% remote.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with account management, marketing, channel, analytics, and Agile teams to ensure correct tagging across websites, apps, and landing pages
- Implement and maintain client-side site tagging, including custom variables to support reporting, optimization, and personalization
- Implement and maintain server-side tagging through APIs to support advanced reporting, optimization, and personalization
- Deploy and manage tagging via tag management systems to support digital tracking architecture and post-campaign analysis
- Implement and evolve mobile app tracking solutions for iOS and Android using SDKs and server-to-server integrations
- Test and validate tagging accuracy using debugging tools to ensure correct tag firing and data capture
- Diagnose and resolve tracking gaps and reporting discrepancies across platforms and tools
- Troubleshoot media tracking issues by partnering with channel teams, marketing teams, vendors, and ad tech platforms
- Execute QA for tagging and tracking before and after campaign launches and after site/app updates
- Document tagging implementations and maintain technical documentation
- Lead technical discussions and provide subject matter expertise on implementation and testing approaches
- Coordinate with onsite and offshore teams to resolve critical production issues
- Train technical and non-technical stakeholders on tagging processes, tools, and best practices
- Perform additional tasks and special projects as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma/GED with 6+ years of relevant marketing experience
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in a similar technical implementation role
- Strong experience implementing and troubleshooting client-side, server-side, and mobile app tracking within tag management systems
- Experience with tag management platforms, including Tealium and Google Tag Manager
- Experience implementing, troubleshooting, and validating Tealium EventStream integrations, including API Connectors and Webhooks
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, jQuery, JSON, and DOM manipulation
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills with a strong understanding of the marketing technology landscape
- Experience leveraging APIs for server-to-server tagging and integrations
- Experience using Jira and Confluence for documentation and technical workflows
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
Preferred:
- Strong knowledge of ad operations and site tagging frameworks, including API integrations
- Familiarity with privacy-first tracking and consent management platforms such as OneTrust
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments
- Experience with project management tools such as MS Project or Workfront
- Experience with Postman or similar API tools
- Experience with BrowserStack or similar testing/VPN tools
- Experience implementing and validating analytics tools, such as Adobe Analytics or GA4
