Job description
Our customer is a leading global media and entertainment company that creates and distributes a large portfolio of content and brands across television, film, and streaming and is available in over 200 countries and territories and over 45 languages. Headquartered in New York, NY with more than 30 office locations in the United States.
We are seeking a Media Coordinator/Specialist on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is hybrid (3 days on-site and 2 days remote/week) in New York City (will need to be on-site every working day while training).
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for implementation across all O&O media inventory.
- Execute daily and weekly promotional priorities with high accuracy, including log scheduling and delivery.
- Set up campaigns in linear and digital scheduling systems based on strategic media plans.
- Traffic digital video and display creatives using platforms such as Google Ad Manager, Freewheel, and Campaign Manager.
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance across linear and digital channels.
- Build custom audience targets using tools such as Nielsen and proprietary first-/third-party analytics.
- Resolve discrepancy reports from the Broadcast Center, including participating in an on-call rotation for off-hours issues.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Media Logistics, Digital Agencies, and Commercial Operations to ensure accurate execution and resolve technical issues.
- Produce ad hoc reports and support additional department needs as required.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Advertising, or a related field.
- 1-2+ years of experience within Communications/Advertising.
- Experience with broadcast log scheduling and/or media operations.
- Experience in trafficking digital campaigns and managing placements across digital media platforms.
- Experience in analyzing campaign performance and building audience segments.
- Strong relationship with numbers and comfort interpreting data.
- High attention to detail and strong time-management skills.
- Ability to work quickly, accurately, and independently in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Familiarity with platforms such as Google Ad Manager, Freewheel, Nielsen tools, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Highly motivated with a positive, proactive mindset.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in scheduling and trafficking tasks.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Strong collaboration and cross-functional communication.
- Comfortable performing recurring tasks without frustration.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with building custom audiences.
- Understanding of cross-platform promotional strategies across linear and digital.
- Prior experience at a TV network or media agency, especially in promotional scheduling.
