Job description

Our customer is a leading global media and entertainment company that creates and distributes a large portfolio of content and brands across television, film, and streaming and is available in over 200 countries and territories and over 45 languages. Headquartered in New York, NY with more than 30 office locations in the United States.


We are seeking a Marketing Specialist on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is hybrid (3 days onsite and 2 days remote/week) in New York City.



Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for implementation across owned and operated media inventory
  • Execute daily and weekly promotional priorities with a focus on accurate log scheduling and timely delivery
  • Set up campaigns in linear and digital scheduling systems, ensuring alignment with strategic goals
  • Traffic digital video and display creatives using platforms such as Google Ad Manager, Freewheel, and Campaign Manager, ensuring proper placement across inventory
  • Monitor campaign performance and conduct data analysis for both linear and digital media efforts
  • Assist in building custom audience targets using data sources such as Nielsen and first/third-party analytics
  • Resolve discrepancy reports from the Broadcast Center regarding promos, including during off-hours as part of an on-call rotation
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Media Logistics, Digital Agencies, and Commercial Operations to ensure strategies are followed and troubleshoot technical issues as needed
  • Produce ad hoc reports and support additional duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, advertising, or related field required
  • Prior experience in broadcast log scheduling and media operations
  • Experience in digital trafficking and managing placements across digital platforms
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to monitor campaign performance and build audience targets
  • Familiarity with building custom audiences is preferred
  • Understanding of how linear and digital media complement each other in a cross-platform promotional strategy is preferred
  • Experience working in a TV network or media agency environment, particularly in promotional scheduling, is preferred
  • Familiarity with media systems and platforms such as Google Ad Manager, Freewheel, and Nielsen tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong relationship with numbers and a high comfort level with analytics
  • Strong interest in media and willingness to learn
  • Fearlessness to ask questions and clarify requirements
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in scheduling and trafficking tasks
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively across departments and levels of the organization
  • Highly motivated, takes initiative, and maintains a positive demeanor
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively with a proactive approach to problem-solving
