Job description

Title: Medical Receptionist
Location: Tampa, FL (In Office)
Status: $18.50 - $22/hr, commensurate with experience, 35 hours/wk

Our client is a facial plastic surgery medical office with two doctors, located in the heart of Tampa, FL with a fun and happy office culture. They are looking to add a Medical Receptionist to their front desk team.

The ideal candidate will be extremely reliable, kind, detail oriented, and born to multitask.

Responsibilities:

  • Primary phone answerer. Pleasant greeting, schedule appointment, address all questions of callers.
  • Schedule appointments
  • Inventory Control for Office Supplies
  • Reminder Calls
  • Check out patients once services are provided. Includes collecting payment
  • Data Entry of Daily Invoices
  • Posting of Daily Payments
  • Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient’s arrival, reviewing service delivery compared to schedule, and reminding providers of service delays.
  • Comforts patients by anticipating patients’ anxieties, answering patients’ questions, and maintaining the reception area.
  • Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records.
  • Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.
  • Maintains operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications/Skills

  • Solid Knowledge and Execution of Microsoft Office
  • Exemplary planning and time management skills
  • Up-to-date with advancements in office gadgets and applications
  • High level verbal and written communications skills. A lot of communication is done via email.
