Our Customer is seeking a Merchant Onboarding Specialist on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is on-site in Detroit, MI.



Responsibilities:

  • Onboard restaurant merchants to platform products and services
  • Develop and execute merchant onboarding strategies to deliver a seamless onboarding experience
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for merchant restaurants throughout the onboarding process
  • Conduct hands-on, in-store training for merchant staff on platform features and tools
  • Create training materials to improve merchant adoption and product knowledge
  • Configure and implement digital ordering platforms and SaaS solutions for merchants
  • Identify opportunities to improve merchant workflows, increase platform adoption, and maximize revenue
  • Collaborate with Sales, Account Management, Operations, Product, and Analytics teams to support merchant success
  • Travel regularly to merchant locations within the assigned region and nationwide as needed
  • Adapt quickly to changing priorities while delivering high-quality customer experiences
  • Recommend process improvements that enhance onboarding operations and merchant satisfaction


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in restaurant management, bar management, hospitality, customer support, or a related field
  • Experience onboarding, training, or supporting customers in a service-oriented environment
  • Experience implementing or supporting digital ordering platforms, SaaS products, or similar technology solutions
  • Strong customer service and relationship management skills
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and results-oriented
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently to merchant locations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Spanish fluency
