Migration Project Manager (100% Remote)
Our Client
Technology company
- Remote
Job description
Our Customer is a technology company that connects people with the best of their neighborhoods across the US, Canada, Australia, Japan, and Germany. They enable local businesses to meet consumers’ needs of ease and convenience, and, in turn, generate new ways for people to earn, work, and live. By building the last-mile logistics infrastructure for local commerce, they’re fulfilling our mission to grow and empower local economies.
We are seeking a Migration Project Manager on a contract basis to help support our customer’s business needs. This role is 100% remote.
Role Desicription:
Our customer is moving their B2B marketing programs from Iterable to HubSpot. The Migration Project Manager will own that move from kickoff to cutover. You will partner with the Campaign Architects, the B2B Data Operations Specialist, the retention team, and engineering to turn a large body of campaigns, journeys, and data flows into one plan with clear owners and dates. You will keep the work on schedule, surface risks early, and make sure every stakeholder knows where things stand.
This is a hands-on program role. You will spend half your time planning, sequencing, and unblocking work, and the other half communicating status, driving decisions, and preparing each cutover.
What you will do:
- Own the end-to-end migration plan: scope, milestones, dependencies, and critical path across campaign builds, data sync work, and cutover.
- Maintain the inventory of Iterable campaigns, journeys, templates, and data dependencies, and track each item from rebuild, merge, or retire decision through launch in HubSpot.
- Set timelines with the Campaign Architect and Data Operations Specialist, and track progress against them every week.
- Raise slippage early and propose recovery options before dates are at risk.
- Run the operating cadence: weekly working sessions, decision reviews, and stakeholder syncs with clear agendas, notes, and action items.
- Publish regular status updates to leadership and stakeholders covering progress, risks, decisions needed, and upcoming milestones.
- Maintain a RAID log (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies) and drive each item to resolution with a named owner.
- Define cutover readiness criteria with the team, including parity validation, QA sign-off, consent and subscription checks, and rollback plans.
- Coordinate go-live for each wave.
- Align requirements and approvals across the retention team, legal and privacy, sales operations, and data engineering.
- Manage vendor and partner deliverables and dates, including Iterable, HubSpot, and any implementation agencies.
- Track post-migration performance against the Iterable baseline and coordinate follow-up on gaps.
- Run a retrospective and document lessons learned.
Required:
- 5+ years in project or program management within marketing technology, marketing operations, or a similar technical environment.
- A record of delivering a platform migration or major system implementation on schedule, ideally in marketing automation or CRM.
- Fluency with planning tools and methods: roadmaps, milestone plans, dependency mapping, and a tracker such as Jira, Asana, or Smartsheet. Working knowledge of marketing automation concepts: journeys, workflows, segmentation, event triggers, and subscription management.
- Familiarity with HubSpot or Iterable is a strong plus.
- Clear written communication and the ability to brief executives and engineers in the same week with concise updates, crisp escalations, and specific asks.
- Strong prioritization and decision facilitation.
- Comfort leading cross-functional teams through influence.
- Attention to detail on risks and dependencies, and a habit of writing things down.
