We are seeking a Mixed Methods UX Researcher on a contract basis to help support our customer’s business needs. This role is remote, but we need someone local to Seattle and willing to come onsite periodically.
The ideal candidate will be adept at qual moderation, survey analysis, reporting, and will thrive in a fast-paced work environment. They will be responsible for handling end-to-end research projects, showcasing excellent communication, and collaborating seamlessly with researchers, product managers, designers, and engineers.
Responsibilities:
- Scope study objectives, research questions, and methods aligned with product team needs leveraging both qualitative and quantitative methods (e.g., surveys, interviews, usability testing)
- Collaborate closely with other researchers, cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and product management, to integrate user research into the product development process.
- Own end-to-end research activities including managing study setup, participant recruitment, schedule logistics, and interview moderation (mix of in-person and remote per study needs)
- Translate research findings into actionable insights that can influence product and strategy
- Communicate research results to diverse audiences through written reports and oral presentations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in HCI, Psychology or Cog Science, Design Research, Human Factors, Market Research or equivalent work history in UXR; would prefer an advanced degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology, or a related field
- 5 years of UX Research experience, either in-house with Fortune 500 companies and/or in a consultancy
- Mixed Methods UXR Experience; ability to execute both qualitative (interviews, usability, incl. moderation and in-lab settings) and quantitative (tracking surveys) independently
- E2E study execution experience
- Proficiency in a range of both qualitative and quantitative research methods, with a strong understanding of when and how to apply different methods during the product development cycle.
- Strong collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work well in a team and build relationships with stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas into clear, concise concepts.
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and to manage simultaneous projects with varied timelines and demands.

- Advanced quantitative analytics
- Experience in Big Tech
