Motion Designer (100% Remote)

We are seeking a Motion Designer on a contract basis to help support our customer’s business needs. This role is 100% remote.

This role focuses on designing and producing creative inventory for the creative tools libraries, specifically including text effects, video transitions, and video effects.

Responsibilities:

• Design and produce motion graphics, VFX, and visual assets for product features
• Collaborate with creative coders and technical artists to refine and implement designs in real-time environments
• Translate creative concepts into production-ready assets, including shaders and post-processing effects
• Create prototypes and iterate within internal tools to validate design direction
• Prepare clear documentation, specs, and handoff materials for engineering teams
• Ensure high-quality execution with strong attention to timing, polish, and visual consistency
• Work closely with the Creative Director or Art Director to align on vision and output

Skills and Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in motion design, VFX, or real-time visual production
• Strong expertise in motion design and VFX for product experiences (text effects, transitions, filters)
• Proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Figma
• Experience collaborating with creative coders or technical artists in implementation-focused workflows
• Ability to design within technical constraints and adapt to real-time pipelines
• Strong documentation and handoff skills for engineering collaboration
• Background in video production, editing, or filmmaking

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with 3D and real-time VFX (particles, lighting, depth, real-time constraints)
• Familiarity with rapid prototyping workflows and internal tools
• Experience with AI-assisted creative workflows (textures, motion studies, style exploration)
• Knowledge of color grading and LUTs
