Job description

We are seeking a Motion Designer on a contract basis to help support our customer’s business needs. This role is 100% remote.


This role focuses on designing and producing creative inventory for the creative tools libraries, specifically including text effects, video transitions, and video effects.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and produce creative assets for product features
  • Create motion design, VFX, and animated graphics for real-time product experiences
  • Collaborate with creative coders and technical artists to refine and implement designs within prototyping tools and product builds
  • Translate visual concepts into shaders, post-processing effects, and production-ready assets
  • Prepare detailed documentation, specifications, and handoff materials for engineering teams
  • Work closely with Creative Directors and Art Directors to align on vision and execution
  • Iterate on designs within technical constraints to ensure performance and visual quality
  • Support implementation within technical creative pipelines and real-time environments


Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in motion design, VFX, or real-time visual design
  • Proven expertise in creating animated graphics, transitions, effects, and filters with strong timing and visual polish
  • Proficiency in After Effects and Figma
  • Experience collaborating with creative coders or technical artists in implementation-focused environments
  • Ability to design with technical constraints in mind and deliver clean, developer-ready handoffs
  • Experience working within prototyping tools and iterative design workflows
  • Strong understanding of shaders, post-processing effects, and real-time rendering concepts
  • Experience implementing designs within a technical or product-driven pipeline
  • Background in filmmaking, editing, or short-form video production
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills for scalable design systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with 3D and real-time VFX concepts, including depth, particles, and lighting
  • Proficiency in rapid prototyping workflows
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted creative workflows for generating textures, motion studies, and style exploration
  • Knowledge of color grading and LUTs
