We are seeking a Non-IT Project Manager on a contract basis to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as engineering, research and development, financial systems and product roll-out, etc, or any other non-IT-based project. This role is 100% remote and candidates must be located in the Eastern Time Zone.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide leadership and ongoing operational support for projects from ideation through execution.
    • Includes roadmap planning, milestone breakdown, resource management, facilitating design reviews, and driving collaboration within cross-functional teams
  • Help teams improve their operational effectiveness by identifying and addressing issues with workflows or tooling, setting and measuring performance goals, and fostering a collaborative and creative community
  • Facilitate meetings to drive progress against goals and objectives, and establish clear next steps and owners while resolving obstacles that impede progress
  • Proactively assess risk, raise flags, and resolve issues before they become problems for the larger team
  • Define and measure the impact of programs and initiatives qualitatively and quantitatively
  • Coordinate projects, make detailed plans to accomplish goals, and direct the integration of technical activities
  • Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to clients
  • Recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence
  • Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects
  • Confer with management, production, and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures
  • Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates
  • Direct, review, and approve product designs and changes
  • Consult or negotiate with clients to prepare project specifications

Must-Haves:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a program manager, digital producer, or project manager working on digital products
  • 8+ years of relevant experience required
  • Experience working on 0-to-1 products, executing design sprints with many stakeholders, supporting road mapping, prototyping, user research, and resource planning
  • Track record of operating independently and with minimal oversight
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with lots of ambiguity
  • Experience using data to identify problems and communicate solutions
  • Verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills are necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
  • Strong knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods
  • Strong knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, etc.
  • Experience as a Producer or Program Manager at a mobile, Augmented reality (AR), or Virtual Reality (VR) game studio preferred

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field
  • PMI or PMP certification preferred

Hours & Location:

  • M-F, 40 hours/week. This role will be 100% remote and candidates must be located in the Eastern Time Zone.
