Job description

The Company, based in the Madrona neighborhood of Seattle is looking for a Bookkeeper with non-profit accounting and payroll experience to join our team. The book keeper is responsible for preparing financial information for management by researching and analyzing accounting data and preparing financial reports. The ideal candidate holds a B.S. in Accounting (or relevant degree), has strong attention to detail, superb analytical skills and excellent interpersonal skills.

Qualifications/Skills

  • BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
  • Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with non-profit accounting software. Epiphany uses ACS Technologies Financials (must have a willingness to learn this software)
  • Strong attention to detail, deadline-oriented, time management
  • Data entry management and analytical skills
  • Ensure Episcopal Church accounting guidelines are observed
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate and follow instructions effectively from a diverse group of people, providing information with discretion, courtesy and tact
  • Identify and analyze complex issues, recommend and implement solutions
