Job description
A partner of The Mom Project in the automotive industry is seeking a contract Non-Technical Business Systems Analyst to help support their business needs.
The main function of a Business Systems Analyst is to perform the analysis, design, implementation, modification, and daily functional support of all applications.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with business stakeholders to align technology solutions with business strategies
- Gather and document business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for developers
- Serve as a liaison between business teams and IT to deliver effective technical solutions
- Support complex business processes and identify opportunities for improvement
- Conduct cost-benefit and ROI analyses to support system implementation decisions
- Contribute to multiple projects as a team member, ensuring alignment with timelines and deliverables
- Analyze complex problems and develop innovative, data-driven solutions
- Support UAT processes, including test planning, execution, and validation
- Assist with user training and enablement for new systems and processes
- Provide operational support and troubleshoot system and process issues
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field; advanced degree preferred
- 2-4+ years of relevant experience in business analysis or related roles
- Basic understanding of programming concepts and the ability to read code
- Experience gathering and translating business requirements into technical solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments and meet deadlines
- Experience supporting business operations and improving process efficiency
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Power BI for reporting and data visualization
- Experience supporting UAT processes
- Exposure to product management or product lifecycle activities
- Experience delivering user training and documentation
- Experience providing operational or production support
Hours and Location:
- M-F, 40 hours/week
- Hybrid in Warren, MI - 3 days on-site and 2 days remote/week
