The Mom Project is excited to partner with Grainger in their search for an Onsite Search Analyst. This role is a hybrid setup with 2 days remote and 3 days onsite at Grainger's locations in Lake Forest and Chicago, IL.

You will execute strategies to optimize the multi-channel product search experience. The role includes direct management of search optimization tools, terms management tools, business processes, and advanced product search analytics.
You will report to the Manager, Onsite Search.
You Will:
- Participate in research and strategic planning to identify opportunities for improvement of the ~ 1M searches a day to Grainger.com
- Work cross-functionally to strengthen the current analytics foundation and develop new analytical methods to allow for perspective and understanding of how our customers search
- Review technical product information, keyword research, and competitive analysis to understand the MRO search landscape
- Manage internal tools and business processes that optimize the onsite search experience, with a continuous improvement mindset
- Collect and respond to all external and internal search feedback; execute and measure search improvement tactics
- Implement search term standards, guidelines, and best practices to optimize the onsite keyword search accuracy
- Develop search measurement plans and dashboards, monitor and report on onsite search metrics
- Partner with Merchandising, Product Information, and Publishing teams to provide search insights and ensure a streamlined customer experience
You Have:
- 3+ years of experience in large data-focused organizations with complex business processes
- An inquisitive nature and a passion for research – with an emphasis on industrial products
- Experience with faceted e-commerce websites
- Demonstrated expertise in data analysis and analytical thinking, coupled with the ability to translate data insights into tactical execution
- Experience with web analytics packages (Adobe), SQL, and Business Intelligence Platforms preferred
- Understanding of Product Information Management systems and methodologies
- Experience working with complex data sets
- Ability to translate detailed technical information into easily understood concepts and actions
