Role Overview
The Operations Lead will oversee project operations across our design team, ensuring timelines are met, clients feel supported, and deliverables align with the commitments we make. Acting as the bridge between leadership, design, and clients, this role is responsible for monitoring workflows, balancing team capacity, and ensuring operational sustainability.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Oversee design team operations to ensure projects are on time, on budget, and aligned with client expectations.
- Serve as the escalation point for client concerns, resolving issues with care and professionalism.
- Monitor project receivables, budgets, and workload balance to support profitability and efficiency.
- Partner with leadership to improve systems and ensure sustainable, scalable operations.
- Support training and development to strengthen team performance and alignment with Simour Design’s mission.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- % of projects delivered on time and within scope.
- Client satisfaction scores or feedback on service quality.
- Accuracy and timeliness of receivables tracking.
- Team workload balance and retention/engagement.
- Operational efficiency improvements (e.g., reduced bottlenecks, faster turnaround times).
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years of operations or project management experience in interior design, construction, or a related industry.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and improve workflow, efficiency, and scalability.
- Strong client service and communication skills, with experience delivering luxury-level service.
- Financial acumen and comfort overseeing budgets and receivables.
- Tech-savvy, with knowledge of project management and CRM tools (ClickUp, HubSpot, or similar).
- Remote work experience with availability during PST business hours.
- Availability to participate in all weekly scheduled meetings.
