***The salary range for this position is $51.37 - $55.48 per hour.***

We are seeking an Operations Manager, Email Marketing on a contract basis to support the use and management of our email marketing platform, including monitoring the deliverability of ongoing email campaigns and experiments, managing the warm-up of new sending domains and Internet Protocol (IP) addresses and ensuring adherence of list suppression rules. Candidates will need to demonstrate a high level of technical email experience and be highly motivated to improve and maintain the strong deliverability of all the company email marketing campaigns. This role is 100% remote in San Francisco, CA.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support the administration and continuous improvement of the enterprise Enterprise Simulation Platform (ESP) platform (Iterable)
  • Monitor the inbox placement for all email campaigns and experiments on an ongoing basis, highlighting trends and potential needs for optimization
  • Continually assess the performance of dedicated IP addresses and email-sending domain configurations, using both internal and external monitoring tools
  • Warm new dedicated IP addresses and email-sending domains to mitigate any deliverability gaps and in support of the channel expansion
  • Implement seed lists for highly critical email campaigns to gain even greater visibility into deliverability performance
  • Monitor list hygiene to ensure optimal inbox placement and privacy compliance
  • Document the process of campaign and channel performance monitoring to ensure maximum uptime and transparency for cross-functional partners
  • Stay current on competitive email and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) trends and use that knowledge to guide future decisions regarding email deliverability

Must Haves:

  • 3+ years of administering enterprise ESP platforms, monitoring email deliverability performance and implementing seed lists
  • Thorough knowledge of email marketing best practices, audience segmentation and methods to maintain list health and ensure high deliverability
  • Depth of knowledge about email compliance (Controlling the Assault of Non-Solicited Pornography And Marketing (CAN-SPAM), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Canadian anti-spam legislation (CASL)), deliverability (eDataSource, Google Postmaster), and ongoing ESP health
  • Strong project management skills; results-focused with impactful execution and follow-through; highly detail-oriented
  • Demonstrable skills with third-party marketing automation solutions such as Iterable or Braze

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field

Hours & Location:

  • M-F, 40 hours/week. This role will be 100% remote in San Francisco, CA.
