We are seeking a Merchant Sentiment Operations Manager on a contract basis to help support our Customer's business needs. This role is on-site in Tempe, AZ.


The Manager will oversee day-to-day operations and ensure the long-term success of the Merchant Sentiment Operations team. This position requires a team-first leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, can manage change effectively, and is passionate about developing people to meet a high talent bar.



Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a Merchant Sentiment Operations team, fostering collaboration, problem-solving, and high performance.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and development to direct reports through in-person 1:1 meetings and team interactions.
  • Build and maintain a collaborative team culture, motivating individuals at all levels to achieve collective goals.
  • Manage change initiatives and drive solution-focused approaches to challenges.
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal teams to resolve issues, share feedback, and optimize workflows.
  • Be physically present in the corporate Tempe office as needed to support direct reports, cross-functional partners, and immediate problem-solving (candidates must live within a commutable 50-mile radius).


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of people leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Strong passion for team development and maintaining high performance standards.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, JIRA, and Workday systems.


Preferred:

  • Proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets.
  • Project management experience.
