Job description

Position: Overnight/Early Morning Dispatcher

Are you a proactive problem-solver who thrives during the quieter hours? Join our client as their Overnight/Early Morning Dispatcher. In this essential role, you’ll provide dependable and prompt coordination between our client's drivers, their clients, and the dispatch team to ensure smooth, on-time rides in the early hours of the day.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Status Tracking: Monitor driver check-ins, pickup, and drop-off times to ensure accurate reporting and maintain an organized, real-time log of all activities.
  2. Dispatch Coordination: Assign rides to drivers based on location, scheduling requirements, and customer needs. Maintain constant communication with drivers to monitor ride progress and address any scheduling adjustments as needed.
  3. Client Communication: Provide responsive and courteous support to clients regarding their scheduled rides, addressing any changes, delays, or inquiries they may have.
  4. Issue Resolution: Identify and address potential issues promptly, such as driver availability or route adjustments, to prevent delays and ensure efficient service delivery.
  5. Data Management: Record and update ride details and communications accurately in our system to keep records up-to-date and accessible for future reference.

Qualifications:

  1. Experience in dispatch, transportation, customer service, or a similar field is preferred.
  2. Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate professionally and clearly with both drivers and clients.
  3. Strong Problem-Solving Abilities: Capable of handling last-minute changes and addressing unexpected issues calmly and effectively.
  4. Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented, with a focus on ensuring accurate scheduling and timely adjustments.
  5. Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with dispatch systems, GPS tracking, messaging apps, and other communication tools.
  6. Availability: Willingness to work overnight and early morning shifts, including some weekends or holidays as required.

As part of the interview process, candidates will be asked to complete an online, brief personality assessment. After your first 90 days in the position, our client will conduct a performance review with the potential for an increase in your hourly wage.
