JOB DESCRIPTION
Paid Social Content Specialist
Etsy is seeking a Paid Social Content Specialist to help develop engaging, audience-first video creative that embodies our brand. You’ll support production of social media assets for paid campaigns from creative ideation to final delivery, working on content that tells the best story for our brand and our seller and buyer communities. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Storytelling & Social Strategy, the Paid Social Content Specialist will help enable all aspects of paid creative production, working directly with social content creators, video editors, copywriters and agency partners. You’ll also work closely with our Performance Marketing and Analytics teams, as well as platform partners, to ensure we’re taking an insights-informed approach to content creation.
Availability
This hybrid role must be available to work out of Brooklyn office as needed (minimum 1x per week)
The Paid Social Content Specialist will be responsible for:
- Supporting all aspects of paid social content development - from creative brief to campaign launch
- Working directly with in-house and external social content creators to help enable production by sourcing, vetting and acquiring approved Etsy merchandise from our seller community
- Sourcing and communicating with content creators for creative projects: negotiating terms, building content guidelines, providing feedback and keeping projects on deadline
- Finalizing all paid content for deployment by tracking and organizing assets, adding approved copy and distributing content to external agency partners
- Surfacing new content ideas and tactics to the Paid Social Content team, informed by culturally relevant moments, platform trends and competitive insights
- Building and maintaining a library of paid social content, identifying actionable creative insights and best-in-class examples
- Coordinating with Etsy’s Performance Marketing and Analytics teams, as well as external agency and platform partners, to track and report on campaign and creative performance
- Identifying and cataloging UGC content from our seller and buyer community for use in paid creative
- Pitching creative approaches and tactics that deliver on campaign goals, based on paid social expertise, platform best practices and competitive insights
The Paid Social Content Specialist will demonstrate:
- 3+ years experience supporting paid social content production for a large brand, publisher or agency, with recent experience specifically across paid social campaigns and formats
- Deep knowledge of the social media landscape: you’re immersed in social content trends and channel dynamics with a pulse on cultural conversations
- Experience supporting content production for paid social formats - particularly on Meta, YouTube and TikTok - and an understanding of how creative strategies and user experiences differ by channel
- Experience collaborating with in-house creative teams, agencies, influencers and social content creators to produce social content
- A keen awareness of the difference between successful organic and paid content as well as a discerning eye for what makes video content successful on social
- Exceptional time management and organization, with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously across different channels and campaigns under tight deadlines
- Clear, considerate and effective communication skills - you enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams and build strong working relationships with peers and partners
- A passion for supporting small businesses, creativity and craftsmanship
