Paralegal

We are a small and growing law firm just southwest of downtown. Seeking a savvy individual with excellent communication and writing skills to work in a professional and compassionate office environment. Must be reliable, motivated, and an accomplished multi-tasker. Attention to detail is key! The minimum education required is a Bachelor’s degree.

A background in employment law, business law, contracts, HR, or efiling is a plus.

Hours are negotiable, but a minimum commitment of 15 hours/week is required.

5. The ability to adapt to new scenarios as they arise;

7. Willingness to complete administrative and office management tasks as needed;

8. Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint, plus ability to quickly learn new software and applications;

9. The ability to trouble-shoot problems with technology and office equipment without becoming overwhelmed.


Responsibilities include:

1. Review and preparation of contracts, agency filings, business records, and evidence packets;

2. Drafting and e-filing basic legal documents and correspondence;

3. Managing competing deadlines in an efficient manner in line with priorities set by attorney;

4. Legal research and writing projects;

5. Responding to inquiries from clients and prospective clients;

6. Completing interviews and other intake procedures;

7. Managing cases by monitoring deadlines and ensuring progress in a timely fashion;

8. Working with the attorney to develop and implement client intake and case management procedures;

9. Maintenance of a clean and organized work environment;

10. Occasional office manager tasks, such as invoicing and marketing campaigns, as needed;

11. Additional tasks, as assigned.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: negotiable (15-35 per week)
