Job description

We are partnering with an estate planning and elder law firm that is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Paralegal who is passionate about helping people and families. The ideal candidate is flexible, growth-oriented, and comfortable taking on a variety of responsibilities within a small, collaborative firm environment.


The Paralegal will play a key role in preparing, reviewing, and managing estate planning documents, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely completion. This position will also support client meetings, ongoing estate planning maintenance services, and probate and trust administration matters. Responsibilities include coordinating court appointments, preparing inventories, accountings, notices, and related legal documents, while serving as a primary point of contact for clients throughout the process.


The successful candidate will have strong legal writing, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently, anticipate client needs, and provide thoughtful solutions. Experience in estate planning, probate, trust administration, or elder law is highly valued, along with the ability to explain complex legal concepts with patience and empathy.

• Work Schedule: The office closes at 2:00 p.m. on Fridays, but all employees are paid based on a 40-hour work week.

• Holidays: We take many of the standard holidays throughout the year, like July 4, but notably all employees receive the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and the time between Christmas and New Years as paid holidays.


Responsibilities and Duties

• Draft Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Advance Medical Directives, Deeds, Titling Instructions & Funding Tables Based on Attorney Instruction and Establish LLCs, Including Organizational Documents

• Conduct Document Review Meetings for Estate Planning Clients to Answer Client

Questions and Ensure Documents are Ready for Final Signing

• Conduct Estate Planning Maintenance Members ( PIE ) Annual Review Meetings to Review Client Documents

• Draft All Other Paralegal Work Product for All Practice Areas

• Coordinate Court Qualification for Probate, Prepare Inventory, Accounting, and All Supporting Documentation for Administration

• Conduct Administration Client Status Meetings & Develop and Implement Other

Organizational Strategies to Meet Administration Duration Guidelines

• Follow Established Processes in All Practice Areas to Ensure Consistent and Timely Delivery of Client Services

• Work Cooperatively to Develop, Maintain, and Improve Efficiency and Consistency of Practice Processes

• Create and Maintain Operations Manual for All Areas of Accountability
