Job Overview

The position is ideal for a paralegal who wants a change of pace to work with a Boutique Investment Counsel firm reporting to the founder, a lawyer, who serves the wealth management needs of high net worth families and is an award-winning financial columnist and author. (Legal areas: Generally income taxes, estate planning, securities law.)

The job involves client contact, scheduling, case management, file management (including compliance files), research projects, editing, collaborating on messaging and marketing content, communicating with outside lawyers and accountants, CLE venues (speeches), columnists, and sources, plus other related duties. Looking for someone who is both a professional in demeanor and a perfectionist in execution. Finance industry background could be a plus.

For the "right person," this position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic fiduciary investment counsel environment. You will play a crucial role on the team to provide the highest level of service to wealthy clients while supporting financial literacy efforts for people of all financial means.

Responsibilities

· Assist founder with all day-to-day matters

· Draft correspondence

· Maintain and organize files and documents

· Conduct research

· Proofread documents for accuracy and completeness

· Communicate with clients, attorneys, accountants

· Assist in the preparation of client materials

· Manage calendars, appointments, and deadlines for founder

Skills & Background

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under pressure

· Excellence in Microsoft word, excel, powerpoint, etc.

· Experience with administrative tasks in a professional office setting

· Knowledge of proofreading techniques

· Experience using CRMs

· Experience as a strong contributor
