About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Paralegal with experience supporting transactional legal work, ideally with experience in real estate and/or finance. Experience with renewable energy is a plus, but not a requirement. This is a part-time (20-30 hours a week) fully remote position for a detail-oriented professional who takes initiative, follows through on tasks, and takes ownership of work product. The role requires excellent document formatting and Word skills, the ability to juggle multiple priorities, and a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
Compensation: $30-45 /hr
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, proofread, and format transactional documents, including contracts, leases, loan documents, closing certificates and related agreements based on firm precedents;
- Perform initial review of title reports and/or prepare draft title and/or CC&R summary abstracts extracting relevant information from title report into a client facing format;
- Support attorneys with due diligence review, document management, closing coordination and preparing and managing closing indexes;
- Maintain organized transaction checklists and ensure deadlines are met;
- Conduct legal and factual research to support transactional matters as needed;
- Manage signature packets, redlines, and version control for complex agreements;
- Manage document management in firm’s internal document management system;
- Track post-closing obligations and maintain document databases;
- Take ownership of assigned projects, ensuring accuracy, thoroughness, and timely completion.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of paralegal experience in transactional work (real estate or finance strongly preferred)
- Strong drafting, proofreading, and formatting skills (Microsoft Word mastery is essential)
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, while communicating effectively with team members
- Proactive mindset with a strong sense of accountability and follow-through
- Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred
