Job description
Our client is an established fee-only Financial Planning & Registered Investment Advisory (RIA) firm located in Bloomington, MN. They are seeking a part-time paraplanner to work 30 hours per week. They specialize in investment management and financial planning using a customized approach for clients undergoing major life transitions such as retirement, work promotion or divorce. They are currently seeking a dedicated team player who will support their fiduciary-driven approach to financial planning, help them improve their client experience, and is enthusiastic about helping people strive for financial independence. The paraplanner position’s main focus is supporting our lead planner by reviewing and preparing all financial information and retirement projections for client meetings.
Responsibilities:
· Ability to collect, organize and synthesize client information within a financial planning context.
· Prepare all materials for meetings when on-boarding new clients and completing annual updates for regular clients for lead advisor review.
· Update retirement projections for financial plans and annual client meetings using financial planning (Money Guide Pro) and tax planning software (Holistiplan) for lead advisor review.
· Update information and enter tasks into CRM system (Salesforce XLR8) after client meetings.
· Work with lead planner to complete follow up tasks from client meetings.
· Assist with updating and creating workflows to improve efficiency and enhance client experience.
· Record notes during client meetings and prepare a draft of key notes and follow up tasks for lead advisor review.
· Research client-specific issues and communicate conclusions clearly with lead advisor.
· Assist with analysis, rebalancing and administration of client investment portfolios.
Qualifications:
· B.A. or B.S. from accredited four-year university
· Team player who is flexible, collaborative, responsive and proactive
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Excellent project management skills with ability to prioritize and track multiple tasks
· Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability
· Thoroughness, cautiousness and attention to detail
· Takes initiative to research and resolve issues
· Proficiency with MS Office Suite
· Knowledge of or ability to learn client relationship management (CRM), financial planning and portfolio management software
· Experience in the field desirable, not required
· Financial planning or paraplanning designation desirable, not required
Compensation & Benefits:
· Compensation: Competitive base salary including bonus, this is an hourly position. $35/hr working 30 hours per week
