Job description
- Accountant/Tax Preparer
- Onsite, Part-time
- $30-42/hour based on experience and relevant CPA/EA licenses.
- The position is year-round and hours are commensurate with the time of year. This is an in-office position with flexibility in working hours and days. Our office is located on the Meridian Corridor, far northern Marion County.

Looking for an experienced Accountant skilled in preparing a variety of tax returns.
The responsibilities of the position will include:
- Review of client provided information for completeness and appropriateness
- Preparation of accurate, defensible tax returns for businesses and individuals
- Primary focus is on Forms are 1040, 1065, and 1120 series. Possibly a limited number of Trusts & Estates
- Collaboration with our support person and other team members on tax preparation issues and completion
Success in the position requires
- CPA or EA License is a plus but not required
- Ownership of job responsibilities and pride in quality of work
- Good technical skills with a strong working knowledge of current tax law and accounting principles
- Attention to detail
- Understanding of administrative procedures
- Multi-tasking and efficiency with excellent planning and organizational skills
- Ability to work in an environment with changing workloads and priorities, while using strong time management skills
- Adding value as a player on a team and helping continue our positive company culture
- Ability to work with minimal supervision while fulfilling obligations
- Ability to communicate in a clear and friendly manner with verbal and written skills
- Competency in the use of PC and technology including Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook
- Experience in the use of professional tax preparation software
