Job description
Hybrid schedule in San Diego, CA - 2 days in office per week. An ideal schedule is 9-1 M-F with two days in office for ~8 hours total.
Core Responsibilities
We are a fast-growing Accounting firm within the Life Sciences/ Biotech sector, seeking a highly skilled and experienced part time in-house recruiter to help source and recruit for multiple roles from Staff level to Executive. This position is responsible for sourcing, screening, and recruiting qualified accounting professionals to meet the needs of the organization. The successful candidate will work closely with hiring managers to understand their needs, develop effective recruitment strategies, create job descriptions, and manage the full recruitment process for accounting positions.
· Sourcing and Screening: Screen resumes and engage with potential candidates through various channels, including LinkedIn, job boards, networking, and social media.
· Job Postings: Creating and editing job descriptions, and managing postings.
· Interviewing and Evaluation: Conducting initial phone and video interviews to assess their qualifications and experience before passing off to HR Coordinator.
· Candidate Management: Managing candidate experience coordinating with hiring manager and communicating updates throughout the hiring process.
· Reporting and Analytics: Tracking recruitment metrics and providing weekly reports to hiring managers on hiring progress and effectiveness.
Qualifications/Skills
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, or related field preferred.
- Experience: 2-4 years of recruitment experience, with a focus on accounting or finance preferred.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for interacting with both candidates and hiring managers.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial for managing the recruitment process efficiently.
- Networking Skills: Ability to build and maintain a strong network of contacts within the accounting and finance industry.
- Professionalism: Maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality throughout the recruitment process.
- Technology Proficiency: Proficiency in using HRIS systems, applicant tracking systems (ATS), online job boards and other recruitment tools.
