Job description

*100% in office 7 am - 3 pm M-F*

The Mom Project is excited to partner with our client, a growing Chicago based Stainless Steel Processor with a 40 year plus history. Job Responsibilities:


  • Daily reconciliations of freight billings and operational costs.

  • Posting daily transactions of freight and operational costs.

  • Maintaining Accounts Payable for these transactions.

  • Handles information requests and analysis as needed.

  • Assist in the monthly financial close by performing account analysis and reconciliations.

  • Maintains historical records.

  • Supports the continuous improvement of all business and accounting policies and procedures within the department.

  • Maintains office and kitchen supplies and employee supplies.

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related requests as needed.

  • Backup for the Manager/Bookkeeper.

Qualifications / Skills:


  • Demonstrative knowledge of MicroSoft Office and QuickBooks or related software.

  • High verbal and written communication skills

  • Dealing with Complexity

  • Attention to Detail

  • Confidentiality

  • Thoroughness

Education and Experience:


  • 3+ years work experience in an administrative or bookkeeping role

  • Degree in Accounting, finance, or related field a plus

  • Previous bookkeeping experience preferred

  • Experience in working with multiple legal entities a plus
