Communications & Digital Marketing Assistant
100% Remote
15 hours/week

The Mom Project is excited to partner with our client, a start-up non-profit humanitarian aid organization operating in conflict zones across the world, headquartered in New York, New York!

They are looking for a Communications/Digital Marketing Assistant (100% Remote) o join the team!

This team member will be supporting the development, implementation, tracking and optimization of digital marketing campaigns across all digital channels. This is a part time, 12-15 hours a week, position with room to grow.

Position assists the growing Corporate Marketing Communications department in its efforts to meet business goals.

This person will carry out general communications duties with content creation, copywriting, calendars, organization, and assisting the communications director.

Description

  • Support the efforts of the communications staff with duties which may include: writing; graphic design; digital design; event planning, promotion and logistics; social media support; media relations; web content management; and account management.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication within the line of business. Create and administer content management and project communications plans.
  • Track projects and maintain a high level of customer service with internal and external customers. May prepare and maintain reports for senior staff. Ensure appropriate staff and management are informed of project status.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications/Journalism, Public Relations, English, Liberal Arts, Graphic Arts Marketing or other job related field.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and database software.
  • Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion. Sound judgment and ability to navigate formal environments.
  • Effective organizational and planning skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Passionate about getting the details right.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in editing/writing skills, spelling, punctuation and grammar.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills.

Required Software and Tools:

  • Microsoft Suite, Mailchimp, CRM software, Hootsuite, Later, Canva, or similar, Salesforce experience a plus.

Preferred Work Experience:

  • 2-3 years (may include paid or unpaid internship) of experience working with a marketing/advertising/PR agency or a nonprofit organization.
  • International experience a plus.
