Job description
A partner of The Mom Project in the automotive industry is seeking a contract Data Coordinator to help support their business needs.
The main function of a Data Coordinator is to operate data entry devices, such as a keyboard or computer, to verify and input data. A typical data coordinator is responsible for accurate information documentation and personal project management. Technical skills include documentation skills and time management.
Responsibilities:
- Read source documents such as checks, sales reports, and billing records, and accurately enter data into designated systems using keyboards or scanners
- Compile, sort, and verify data accuracy prior to entry
- Identify, correct, or escalate data entry errors as appropriate
- Compare entered data against source documents to ensure accuracy
- Maintain logs of completed work and daily activities
- Support user-facing data workflows by working within existing tools and interfaces
- Follow established processes while adapting to evolving requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately document and record information
- Verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact across different levels
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Comfort using existing computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to complete a speed and accuracy data entry assessment if required
- Eagerness to learn new tools and processes independently
- Self-starter mindset with ability to work effectively in ambiguous, lightly structured environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Coursework or academic projects involving artificial intelligence or AI-related tools
- Academic background or project experience focused on user interfaces, workflows, or applied technology
- Demonstrated curiosity and interest in learning AI tools and systems
Hours and Location:
- This is an on-site, first-shift role based in Bowling Green, KY. Work hours will be determined once a candidate is selected and can be adjusted to accommodate school schedules.
- The role is typically Monday through Friday, with flexibility around which days are spent onsite. There is no strict in-office schedule.
- This position is ideal for college students, particularly those attending local universities. The team is accustomed to working around class schedules and offers a high level of flexibility.
- Candidates may work up to 32 hours per week, with the option to work fewer hours if needed.
