Job description
- Part-Time Office Manager
- Start Date: January 5, 2026
- Onsite- Chicago Fulton Market Neighborhood
- Part-Time 15-20 hours a week | Flexible Schedule, Must be onsite during most of the core business hours Tuesday through Thursday (e.g., 9am through 2pm)
- Compensation: $35-40 per hour
About Client: A boutique management consulting firm with a mission-driven approach to supporting their clients. They partner with clients to offer distinctive growth-focused services across several offerings spanning both more traditional management consulting and sustainability-focused services:
Responsibilities:
- Oversee office maintenance: Maintain and manage the office appearance, including keeping the office properly stocked with kitchen, office, and cleaning supplies, while ensuring cleanliness and proper use of common areas
- Set-up weekly team all-hands meetings and coordinate ordering of lunch
- Oversee composting and weekly maintenance
- Manage vendor relations with catering, cleaning, building, and waste
- Ensure facilities day-to-day operations are working properly (e.g., replacing light bulbs, watering plants, maintaining cleanliness orderliness of conference rooms, etc.)
- Support visitors’ ability to access the office, and add new employees to system (as needed) on the days Office Manager is in office
- Order and stock kitchen
- Order office supplies and keep the storage room well organized and clean
- Assist with other internal and external meeting preparations (e.g., schedule meeting on calendars, ensure conference room setup, procure/set up food, facilitating material readiness with copying, printing, binding, etc.)
- Support return to office initiatives
- Maintain out of office calendar for firm
- Support in getting quotes and pricing for periodic special projects (e.g., signage for the office)
- Help with preparing for birthday celebrations for staff
- Be on-point to organize and execute ad hoc errands in Chicagoland on behalf of the firm
