Our Customer is seeking a Part-Time Market Launch Operations Manager on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is on-site in Chicago, IL.
Responsibilities:
- Source, interview, and hire onsite support specialists (OSS) within the assigned region or hub
- Manage onboarding and ensure new hires are prepared for success from day one
- Conduct initial and ongoing training for OSS teams
- Reinforce operational standards, setup procedures, labeling, and customer experience expectations
- Ensure OSS teams understand operational playbooks and workflows
- Coordinate onsite coverage and support for customer launches within the assigned region
- Conduct live shift evaluations and provide direct coaching and performance feedback
- Identify high and low performers and take appropriate action to improve team quality
- Support local operational and growth initiatives, including restaurant test orders and partner visits
- Act as the on-site operational representative for the assigned market or hub
- Maintain a reliable pipeline and bench of OSS talent for ongoing staffing needs
- Partner with Shift Leads and central operations teams to identify risks, staffing gaps, and operational issues
- Ensure consistent execution quality and customer experience across all shifts and launches
Skills/Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in operations, field management, recruiting, training, or related roles
- Strong hiring and people assessment skills with the ability to identify high-performing talent
- Experience in onboarding, training, and coaching teams
- Comfortable providing direct feedback and performance management in field environments
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Self-directed with the ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work onsite and regularly be in the field
- Experience in marketplace operations, gig workforce management, hospitality, or scaling operations is a plus
- Experience supporting launches or expansion into new markets is a plus
