Job description
Founded in 2008, our client is a leading American broadcasting corporation headquartered in New York City and provides satellite radio and online radio services operating in the United States.
We are seeking an Operations Scheduler on a contract basis to help support our Customer's business needs. This role is 100% remote - EST/PST hours.
The Operations Scheduler plays a crucial role in entering and maintaining the framework of all channels across the company's platforms. This includes managing channel information, programs, schedules, and other relevant data to ensure smooth broadcasting operations.
Part-time, 30 hours/week
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily data entry and channel log management using broadcast scheduling systems such as BroadView and Zetta
- Coordinate with programming, advertising sales, finance, and other departments to gather information and ensure accurate scheduling
- Create and maintain channel information, program formats, quarterly and weekly schedules, episodic information, and timing sheet details
- Collaborate with vendors to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve scheduling and data management issues
- Recreate reported issues as needed and support resolution efforts
- Maintain accurate records and scheduling information within internal systems
- Support additional operational and administrative tasks as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a television or radio broadcasting environment
- Knowledge of traffic systems and traffic operations
- Understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley standards and compliance practices
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and complete tasks independently
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Strong initiative and ability to manage projects through completion
- Strong spelling, grammar, proofreading, and editing skills
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with broadcast scheduling systems such as BroadView and Zetta
- Experience supporting media, broadcasting, or entertainment operations
