Job description

Proposal Specialist Job Responsibilities:

This contract position will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing Request for Proposals (RFPs), and writing strategically-positioned proposal responses to present the company's capabilities in a manner that makes clear what differentiates us from our competitors. The candidate will perform the appropriate investigation/research/writing, and production necessary to respond to large, complex public entity RFPs using a number of tools. The candidate will maintain responsibility for the complete RFP process, including initial review, response coordination, production and final assembly.

Responsibilities: Specific duties include (but are not limited to):

- Thorough review of the RFP, including identification of any potential concerns or challenges.

- Summarization, distribution and kick off call invitations to key Subject Matter Experts within the company.

- Facilitating and participating in kick off call discussions to develop case-specific proposal response strategy, tasks list, work plan, etc.

- Customizing core questionnaire responses based on the case strategy and incorporating appropriate marketing messages.

- Managing and coordinating the unique RFP requirements in the Public Sector market including proposal structure, completion of forms, system requirements, document production and assembly.

- Developing answers for questions with Subject Matter Experts.

- Managing/updating questions currently in the data base based on new knowledge gained.

- Contribute to the creation of new proposal content as required, loads new content, obtain proper approval/sign-off of new content.

- Uploads completed RFPs to the company database.

- Conducts peer review of RFPs/RFIs completed by Executive team members before submission.

- Working collaboratively and developing relationships with subject matter experts throughout the company to develop proposal materials in support of products, programs, and services.

- Understanding department initiatives and gaining robust industry knowledge.

Finally, this individual will need to track win/loss records for all RFPs, archive submissions for future reference, and make determinations on what is most effective,

Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of direct stock plan services experience is desired
- 2+ years of experience with large, complex RFP responses and public sector RFPs Experience within a technological proposal development, marketing, and/or communications environment, including use of a Proposal Content Q&A Database strongly desired. Please be prepared to submit a portfolio of written work.
