Job description
A partner of The Mom Project in the automotive industry is seeking a contract Quality Engineering Intern to help support their business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Support quality-driven initiatives across the organization
- Assist with problem-solving activities related to quality and operational improvements
- Support statistical data analytics efforts to evaluate performance and identify trends
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects and initiatives
- Perform additional duties as assigned by Quality Managers
Skills and Qualifications:
- Must be currently enrolled at WKU (Western Kentucky University) or an accredited university
- Ability to work a minimum of 12 hours per week during the academic term
- Ability to work up to 32 hours per week during school breaks, including summer and winter
- Strong computer skills - Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Pursuing a degree in Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
Hours and Location:
- This is an on-site, based in Bowling Green, KY. Work hours will be determined once a candidate is selected and can be adjusted to accommodate school schedules.
- The role is typically Monday through Friday, with flexibility around which days are spent onsite. There is no strict in-office schedule.
- This position is for college students, particularly those attending local universities. The team is accustomed to working around class schedules and offers a high level of flexibility.
- Candidates will work a minimum of 12 hours per week during school and may work up to 32 hours per week during school breaks (summer, winter, etc.)
