Small firm seeking to add an employment litigation attorney licensed in Virginia. At least 5 years of full-time licensed employment litigation practice absolutely required.
You will be speaking directly with clients (mostly plaintiffs) via phone or Zoom, taking the primary role representing them in navigating disputes via company grievance systems, EEOC, arbitration, mediation, and full litigation in state/federal court. This may include drafting demand letters, negotiating with opposing counsel, filing pleadings, taking depositions, and appearing for hearings.
Depending on your prior experience and interest, you may also have the opportunity to work on other litigation matters that fall outside the typical employment practice area, such as: defamation, insurance coverage, contract breach, and consumer protection.
The work will be fully remote, with flexible schedule set according to your preferences as an independent contractor attorney. The firm will pay for your malpractice insurance, paralegal support, Westlaw subscription, encrypted email, phone answering service, timekeeping software, headshot photo, and physical mail forwarding.
All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be legally authorized to work in the United States and are required to have U.S. residency at the time of application.
