Job description

Our Customer is an American financial services mutual organization based in Milwaukee. The financial security company provides consultation on wealth and asset income protection, education planning, retirement planning, investment advisory services, financial planning trust and private client services, estate planning and business planning. Its products include life insurance, permanent life insurance, disability income, and long-term care insurance; annuities; investments; and investment advisory products and services.


Our customer is looking for a Visual Designer on a contract basis to help support their ongoing business needs. This role is on-site in NYC.


Part-time, 20 hours/week


**A strong portfolio demonstrating creative thinking and cross-channel design is required



Responsibilities:

  • Create visual designs that support brand and marketing strategies across digital and print platforms
  • Translate complex concepts into clear, engaging visual solutions while maintaining brand consistency
  • Develop high-quality creative assets for campaigns, websites, social media, brochures, presentations, and related materials
  • Collaborate with art directors, copywriters, project managers, product managers, and other stakeholders to develop and execute creative concepts
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards
  • Ensure attention to detail and consistency across all visual deliverables
  • Apply feedback and iterate on designs to achieve optimal outcomes


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in visual or graphic design
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating creative thinking and cross-channel design experience
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
  • Experience using design tools such as Figma
  • Strong visual, conceptual, and layout design skills
  • Collaborative mindset
  • Proficiency with design tools
  • Strong visual design skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team environments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience designing for both digital and print marketing channels
  • Experience working within established brand systems
  • Basic motion graphics experience
  • Photo editing/retouching
  • Understanding of UX/UI principles and design systems
