INTAKE COORDINATOR OPPORTUNITY

Reputable and growing private group practice specializing in mental health services. Our team of dedicated professionals, including MSWs and PMHNPs, is committed to providing compassionate and comprehensive care to individuals seeking mental health support.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and compassionate Intake Coordinator to join our team. The Intake Coordinator will serve as the initial point of contact for individuals seeking mental health services and will be responsible for managing the intake process from initial inquiry to appointment scheduling. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for helping individuals access the care they need.

Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as the first point of contact for individuals seeking mental health services, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and potentially greeting clients in person.
  2. Conduct initial screenings and assessments to gather relevant information about clients' needs, concerns, and preferences.
  3. Assign Care and Coordinate intake appointments with MSWs and PMHNPs based on clients' needs and availability.
  4. Communicate effectively with clients to provide information about our services, answer questions, and address concerns.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client information, including demographics, insurance details, and appointment schedules.
  6. Collaborate with administrative staff to ensure timely and efficient processing of intake paperwork and insurance verification.
  7. Assist in the coordination of referrals to other healthcare providers or community resources as needed.
  8. Participate in team meetings and case consultations to provide updates on intake processes and client needs.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field preferred.
  2. Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a mental health or healthcare setting.
  3. Knowledge of mental health terminology, assessment tools, and treatment modalities.
  4. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  5. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  6. Proficiency in computer skills, including Google Workspace and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  7. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  8. Compassionate and empathetic demeanor with a commitment to client-centered care.
