Job description

Our Customer is an American computer and consumer electronics company famous for creating phones and computers. As one of the largest companies globally with a market cap of over 2 trillion dollars, it is a major leader in the space. Although this company was founded in 1976 it has transformed how we connect and communicate worldwide.

Our Customer is seeking a People Business Partner (PBP) on a contract basis to help support our Customer's business needs. This role is onsite in Cupertino, CA.


Responsibilities:

  • In partnership with PBP’s, support the design and delivery of appropriate talent planning action items by identifying emerging trends within the company
  • Support the development and work of special and cross-functional projects as identified by PBP’s and org leaders.
  • Understand the training/development needs of organization and act as liaison with PBP’s on the execution of programs and initiatives.
  • Use data to develop the AIML People agenda:
    - Track and report staffing, retention, attrition, RTO, and other data; recommend programs and/or enhancements as appropriate.
    - Develop, improve and launch new programs based on data collected.
  • Create new workflows, processes and systems that support People initiatives within AIML
  • Conduct sophisticated investigations, provide advice and direction regarding employee relations (ER) matters to executives, managers, and employees across the organization.
  • Ensuring legal compliance and adherence to company policies is met in a consistent, objective and fair fashion.
  • Partner closely with the People partners, ERBP’s, management, as well as Employment counsel in working sophisticated employee relations cases.
  • Advise and inform senior leaders/partners (e.g. the business, People, Legal) in investigating and resolving assigned cases
  • Address executive escalations as assigned
  • Conduct sophisticated Decision Reviews
  • Maintain accurate case entry practices
  • Possess a strong background in managing sensitive ER processes.
  • Expertise in program management process execution (eg complex documentation, data management, and the ability to meet deadlines with precision and efficiency).
  • Responsible for managing sensitive and complex operational activities related sensitive processes relating to various People related topics
  • Be a key member of various continuous improvements processes across the AIML PBP team.


Skill and Qualifications:
  • Deep expertise in employee relations and human resources processes, confident in managing complex legally impacting administration, documentation and data management.
  • Extensive experience in managing processes and related legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong presentation skills and experience with applications such as Keynote or PowerPoint
  • Highly analytical with an advanced proficiency in Excel reporting.
  • Executive reporting skills and the ability to use data to highlight and influence.
  • Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail across all aspects of work, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and thoroughness in every task.
  • Ensure proper documentation, compliance with legal requirements, and maintenance of process and support materials.
  • Experience supporting transformation of People processes, ensuring smooth adoption of new technologies, tools, or workflows.
  • Experience leading HR operational projects and working in a People global team.
  • Experience in project management, leading change and implementing solutions.
