Job description
The Mom Project is excited to partner with our client, a personal injury firm, who is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal to join their team. This role is essential to support our client's attorneys in litigation, ensuring cases are handled efficiently and professionally. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering a compassionate client experience. Responsibilities:
- Draft, edit, finalize, and file pleadings, motions, and other court documents
- Manage litigation deadlines and maintain case calendars
- Coordinate all stages of discovery, including preparing written discovery requests and responses, document collection, reviewing and summarizing documents, managing document databases, preparing privilege logs, and coordinating with vendors as needed
- Assist in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, creating trial binders, coordinating witnesses, and preparing documents and exhibits for mediations and court hearings/trials
- Conduct legal research and summarize findings for attorney review
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, experts, and opposing counsel to support case development
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files in SmartAdvocate
- Prepare settlement documents, lien resolutions, and other case-related documents as needed
- Support attorneys with administrative tasks related to case management and trial preparation
Qualifications:
- Paralegal certification or equivalent legal education preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in litigation, preferably in personal injury
- Proficiency in SmartAdvocate or similar case management software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Compassionate approach to client interactions, aligned with the firm’s values and mission
