Job description

Our Customer is a technology company that connects people with the best of their neighborhoods across the US, Canada, Australia, Japan, and Germany. They enable local businesses to meet consumers’ needs of ease and convenience, and, in turn, generate new ways for people to earn, work, and live. By building the last-mile logistics infrastructure for local commerce, they’re fulfilling their mission to grow and empower local economies.

We are seeking a Platform Innovation Specialist on a contract basis to travel across the country to onboard restaurant merchants and enhance the experience they have throughout their life cycle on the platform. You'll work cross-functionally between the sales, account management, operations, product, and analytics teams to build a delightful experience for the merchants. You will report to the Manager of Launch and Product Ops within the Platform Operations organization. This position is partially remote, partially in-office, and largely travel-based, as you will be regularly traveling to merchant sites in the assigned region and across the country.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for merchant restaurants, improving their experience throughout their life cycle on the platform
  • Create and execute onboarding strategies, ensuring a seamless and engaging merchant experience
  • Perform hands-on work with hardware and configure software systems for restaurant operations
  • Develop merchant training materials and deliver staff training sessions to drive adoption and understanding of new platforms
  • Identify opportunities to optimize merchant workflows to encourage adoption and maximize revenue
  • Adapt quickly to evolving work environments, achieving immediate and measurable results
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, account management, operations, product, and analytics teams to support merchant success
  • Provide consistent and high-quality support to both internal and external stakeholders

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in hospitality, restaurant management, or systems implementation
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to complete tasks accurately, effectively, and on time
  • Excellent customer support skills with experience supporting both internal teams and external clients
  • Proven success collaborating with cross-functional departments
  • Highly proactive with strong problem-solving abilities and comfortable working at detailed execution levels
  • Spanish fluency strongly preferred
  • Ability to travel to merchant sites regionally and nationwide

We offer a competitive salary range for this position. Most candidates who join our team are hired at the median of this range, ensuring fair and equitable compensation based on experience and qualifications.
