We are seeking a Portfolio Analyst on a contract basis to help support our Customer’s business needs. This role is hybrid in Houston, TX or Atlanta, GA.

The Portfolio Analyst will play an important role in assisting the Performance Measurement, Analytics, and Reporting function (PMAR) execute the overall strategy of efficiently and effectively delivering performance and analytics related analysis and information across the company’s global teams and products. The position will play a key role participating in automation initiatives, building new capabilities, actively participating in team discussions, and coordinating across departments to effectively deliver on PMAR’s objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and/or active participation in various performance and analytics projects designed to improve efficiencies and processes
  • Assisting in the reporting and analysis of portfolio and benchmark characteristics
  • The creation, interpretation, and analysis of fixed income performance attribution results for the company’s global products
  • Will need to be able to assess the importance of any given request or problem, manage the flow of information surrounding the item, and ensure proper resolution

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a mathematics, finance, economics, or related field preferred
  • Proven experience in code and test programming using Python, R, VBA, SQL or equivalent
  • Sound knowledge of project management tools is preferred
  • Knowledge of Performance, Attribution, or Investment Risk is preferred
  • Prior experience in Operations, Accounting, or Finance in the securities/investment industry is preferred
  • Experience in working with IT teams to implement business process improvements is preferred
  • Strong understanding of fixed income instruments is highly desirable
  • Project management experience would be preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a can-do attitude
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills
  • The ability to contribute to a team environment is critical
  • Ability to conduct complex analysis and present data in a meaningful way
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work, meet deadlines, and concentrate on detailed information
  • Strong analytical skills and detail orientation
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with a variety of individuals, departments, and countries
