Job description

The Mom Project is excited to support Etsy with their search for a Post Production Coordinator/Assistant Editor to join their team on a contract basis

Summary

Etsy is seeking a highly organized and collaborative Post Production Coordinator / Assistant Editor to join our video content team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Content Production, this hybrid role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of creative operations and editorial support. You’ll play an integral part in supporting post-production for Etsy’s social marketing team, with your responsibilities evenly divided between post-production coordination and assistant editing.

Responsibilities:

Post Production Coordination (50%)

  • Partner closely with the Post Production Manager to support post production workflows across paid, organic, and influencer channels
  • Schedule edits and stakeholder reviews for quick-turn social video
  • Ensure video deadlines are met, and feedback is incorporated in a timely manner
  • Manage final asset delivery, including coordinating aspect ratio adaptations, international market versions, and distribution to the appropriate delivery trackers
  • Troubleshoot technical issues by partnering with internal IT, LucidLink, Adobe, and external vendors as needed
  • Oversee hard drive inventory and lifecycle, including tracking loans, maintaining a detailed drive log, securely wiping and clearing drives after use, and provisioning drives for the production team.

Assistant Editing (50%)

  • Export deliverables in multiple aspect ratios for cross-platform and international distribution
  • Occasionally ingest cinema camera footage and prepare edit projects by organizing footage, syncing audio, and building stringouts (~2x month)
  • QC final exports for technical accuracy, formatting, captions, and branding consistency.
  • Maintain organizational standards on project server, frame.io, and delivery drive
  • Create stringouts and light reversions of marketing content for presentations

The Post Production Coordinator / Assistant Editor will demonstrate:

  • 3+ years of experience supporting social content production for a large brand, publisher, or agency, with recent experience specifically across paid and organic social campaigns and formats
  • Experience maintaining schedules, trackers, and media archives
  • Working knowledge of social media video formats, aspect ratios, and delivery specifications
  • Expertise in Adobe Premiere and proficiency in After Effects and Photoshop
  • Experience working with cloud servers like Lucid Link
  • Experience working in project management tools such as Airtable or Asana
  • A meticulous focus on video quality standards
  • Clear, considerate, and effective communication skills - you enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams and build strong working relationships with peers and partners
  • A passion for supporting small businesses, creativity, and craftsmanship

Hours and Location:

  • M-F, 40 hours/week
  • While remote candidates will be considered, preference will be given to those who can work out of the Brooklyn office as needed (1-2x per week).

We offer a competitive salary range for this position. Most candidates who join our team are hired at the median of this range, ensuring fair and equitable compensation based on experience and qualifications.

All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be legally authorized to work in the United States and are required to have U.S. residency at the time of application.
