Job description

PowerBI Developer (Part-Time, Remote)

Hours: ~15 hours/week (ideally ~3 hours/day, Mon–Fri)

Location: Remote

Compensation: $70-100/hour based on experience

About Client

They are a fast-growing healthcare services company with a strong operational backbone. For the past year, they have been building out a PowerBI reporting environment with part-time resources. Now they are ready to bring on a dedicated, reliable PowerBI Developer who can take the reporting to the next level.

About the Role

As our PowerBI Developer, you’ll:

  • Integrate multiple data sources (HubSpot, QuickBooks, Google Sheets, and others) into PowerBI.
  • Work within existing structure (not a rebuild) to refine and expand dashboards and reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal project manager and operators to translate business needs into clear, actionable reports.
  • Ensure data accuracy, timeliness, and usability across all reporting outputs.
  • Own the delivery: hit deadlines, stay responsive, and consistently communicate progress without needing hand-holding.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in PowerBI development, especially with complex integrations.
  • Proven success connecting HubSpot, QuickBooks, and Google Sheets (or similar systems) to PowerBI.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, DAX, and visualization best practices.
  • Highly reliable, self-motivated, and able to perform in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communicator who can work closely with non-technical stakeholders.

Benefits

  • Flexible, part-time hours (~15 per week).
  • Opportunity to make a big impact on a fast-scaling company.
  • Work with a collaborative, high-performing team.
  • Clear deliverables, not endless scope creep.

All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be legally authorized to work in the United States and are required to have U.S. residency at the time of application.

Screening Questions

  • This role is ~15 hours per week, ideally ~3 hours each day Monday through Friday. Can you commit to that schedule consistently, and does it fit well with your current workload?
  • Tell me about a project where you integrated HubSpot, QuickBooks, or Google Sheets into PowerBI. What challenges did you face and how did you solve them?
  • We’ve struggled with a developer who wasn’t responsive. How do you manage communication and deadlines when working remotely and part-time?
