Job description

The OB/GYN Practice Support Specialist will provide subject matter expertise and design resources for obstetrics and gynecology medical practices as determined by the organization. This role ensures ob/gyns and their administrative staff have the resources for their clinics and places of practice to run efficiently, support high-quality patient care, and align with organizational goals and health care regulations.

Core Responsibilities

  • Based on member data and leadership requests, create resources for ob/gyns at all career stages to navigate business and practice management issues, such as salary negotiation, contract negotiation, workflows, revenue cycles, finance and other related topics.
  • Collaborate with staff and member physicians to measure the practice management needs of ob/gyns and strategize the organization's role in meeting those needs.
  • Provide technical assistance to member and members' administrative staff.
  • Advise policy staff on related federal and state policies.
  • Monitor industry trends and adapt practice operations resources accordingly.

Qualifications/Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Experience: 3–5 years in medical practice management, preferably in OB/GYN or women’s health.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, financial acumen, and problem-solving abilities. Strong customer service abilities and comfort with public speaking.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with EMR systems, HIPAA regulations, and insurance billing practices. Experience with topics directly related to women's health a plus.
