Job description

Our Customer is a Silicon Valley- based company that is engaged in researching emerging technologies.


We are seeking a contract Principal Product Manager to support our Customer's business needs. This role is on-site in Mountain View, CA.


The Principal Product Manager will be responsible for driving strategy, planning, and development for the next generation of exercise-focused digital health products. This role involves leading product vision, defining requirements, prioritizing features, and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions that provide value to consumers, providers, and researchers.



Responsibilities:

  • Lead product management activities, including market opportunity analysis, user need identification, product vision, strategy formation, roadmap creation, product definition, business case development, competitive positioning, and KPI monitoring
  • Drive the development of the next generation of exercise products, with a focus on expanding exercise coaching features
  • Collaborate with design teams to simplify complex problems into elegant and minimal solutions
  • Prioritize feature development to maximize business impact within available resources
  • Partner with technical program managers and development leads to oversee the product lifecycle from research and design through validation and deployment
  • Own critical product documents, including PRDs, user guides, and performance reporting, while serving as the primary contact for stakeholders across business, engineering, design, QA, operations, and legal


Skills and Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of product management experience, including at least 5+ years focused on fitness or exercise applications
  • Strong ability to translate user data and research into actionable product requirements
  • Excellent communication skills to simplify problems and convey insights effectively
  • Business agility and demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced, ambiguous environments while managing multiple responsibilities
  • Solid knowledge of exercise domains such as running, biking, swimming, and coaching technologies
  • Passion for fitness, running, biking, or swimming, enabling direct connection with the target user community, is preferred
