We are seeking a Privacy Manager on a contract basis to support our Customer’s business needs. This role is 100% remote.

The Privacy Manager performs a key risk management role to ensure business lines and corporate initiatives comply with applicable federal and state Privacy laws and regulations. The Privacy Manager will implement risk, process management, and control skills to drive actions in support of privacy risk objectives for the Privacy department and impacted business lines. The Privacy Manger is responsible for delivering quality results and providing sound privacy results to business lines. A successful Privacy Manager is a highly motivated, forward-thinking self-starter who can work autonomously, is quick to adapt, technologically adept, a problem solver, and an adaptive learner.

This position is for approximately 20 hours per day, 4 hours per day (flexible).

Responsibilities:

  • Follow emerging privacy trends across the country, including the development of new privacy laws.
  • Maintain subject matter expertise of applicable privacy laws and regulations such as FCRA, FACTA, TCPA, TSR, CAN-SPAM, GLBA, PIPEDA, CCPA, CPRA
  • Provide effective challenge and guidance on privacy risks specifically Privacy Impact Assessments.
  • Advise business lines on application of privacy requirements, development of controls and monitoring, remediation/corrective action of compliance breakdowns, and changes in law or regulation.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Must have a minimum of 7 years Data Privacy Experience in compliance, risk management, audit or monitoring and testing program.
  • CIPP (Certified International Privacy Professional) certification
  • Experience with privacy regulations and understanding the risks, understands the processes and controls, private notices, policies requirements, information security, impact assessment,etc.
  • Clear results orientation and focus on achieving short goals.
  • A proven track record of supporting and working across business lines and functions
  • Solid teamwork skills; ability to build and leverage existing processes and tools.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communications skills (written and oral) and the ability to drive agreement through intellect, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong judgment, influencing skills, integrity, and discretion in handling highly sensitive issues.
  • Strong project management, process management, and organizational skills.
  • A collaborative, energetic, solution-oriented, and innovative leadership style.
  • Ability to balance operating independently with appropriate escalation and interaction with management.
  • Understanding of key regulatory and three lines of defense risk management framework.
  • Must be well organized with strong documentation skills and collaboration with understanding various stakeholders.
  • Willingness to learn but also team oriented and willing to share their own knowledge.
  • PNP strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with Audit board, Air Table any type of Security platform, and Google docs experience strongly preferred
