Job description
We are seeking a seasoned Probate, Guardianship, and Estate Planning Attorney to join our prestigious law firm in Florida. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in handling complex probate cases, guardianship matters, and comprehensive estate planning. This role demands a high level of expertise, exceptional client service, and a deep understanding of Florida’s probate and estate laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and representation to clients in probate, guardianship, and estate planning matters.
- Draft and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives, and other estate planning documents.
- Handle all aspects of probate administration, including filing petitions, managing estate assets, and distributing assets to beneficiaries.
- Represent clients in guardianship proceedings, including establishing and managing guardianships for minors and incapacitated adults.
- Conduct thorough legal research and stay updated on changes in probate, guardianship, and estate planning laws.
- Advise clients on strategies to minimize estate taxes and avoid probate.
- Assist clients in managing and protecting their assets during their lifetime and ensuring their wishes are honored after their passing.
- Collaborate with the legal team to develop and implement effective case strategies.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, keeping them informed about the status of their cases.
- Ensure compliance with legal ethics and professional standards.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the Florida Bar Association.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in probate, guardianship, and estate planning law in Florida.
- Proven track record of successfully handling complex probate and guardianship cases.
- Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Strong courtroom advocacy abilities.
- Compassionate and client-focused approach.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
