Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Texas Probate Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and problem solver with a strong background in probate law. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist attorneys with probate and estate administration cases.
  2. Prepare and file probate court documents, including petitions, notices, and inventories.
  3. Draft and review legal documents related to probate and estate planning.
  4. Conduct legal research and gather relevant case information.
  5. Communicate with clients, court personnel, and other parties involved in probate matters.
  6. Manage and maintain case files and deadlines.
  7. Assist in the preparation of estate tax returns and accountings.
  8. Provide administrative support as needed.
  9. Manage all kinds of estate administration cases including: Muniment of Title, Affidavit of Heirship, Independent Administration, Dependent Administration and Heirship proceedings.
  10. Manage guardianship matters.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a probate paralegal in Texas.
  2. Paralegal certification or equivalent education and experience.
  3. In-depth knowledge of Texas probate law and court procedures.
  4. Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  5. Excellent time-management skills.
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
  8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  9. High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
  10. Experience with Muniments of Title, Affidavits of Heirship, Independent Administrations, Dependent Administrations and Heirship proceedings.
  11. Experience with guardianships proceedings.
  12. Willing to learn estate planning.
