Job description

Our customer is a large United States insurance company that is backed by more than 100 years of experience and provides insurance products and services for businesses and professionals in the United States., Canada and Europe. Headquartered in Chicago, IL, they have more than 20 US locations.


Our Customer is seeking a contract Process Designer to support their ongoing business needs. This role is 100% remote - Eastern or Central time zones preferred.



Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and compliance of business policies and procedures to improve consistency, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer service
  • Partner with business leaders to understand operational needs and plan strategic projects and programs
  • Perform complex business analysis and provide decision support to support key business priorities and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data, evaluate business processes, and recommend operational improvements
  • Define process performance metrics and partner with reporting teams to establish operational reporting requirements
  • Develop methods, tools, and dashboards to monitor and measure process performance
  • Design and deliver process-related training programs, including workflows, job aids, presentations, and learning materials
  • Evaluate training alternatives and external learning opportunities
  • Build, maintain, and govern centralized process documentation and business reference libraries
  • Document and standardize business processes using process modeling best practices
  • Lead large-scale process improvement initiatives, including requirements gathering, IT implementation support, user acceptance testing (UAT), and process documentation
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to improve the collection, storage, and analysis of operational metrics
  • Prepare operational, financial, and statistical reports using internal and external data sources
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of related professional experience
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry, including insurance products, services, and business operations
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and strategic planning skills
  • Experience with business process modeling, analysis, and process improvement
  • Experience facilitating complex meetings and leading cross-functional initiatives
  • In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices
  • Strong understanding of change management principles and implementation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with minimal direction
  • Experience analyzing operational and business performance data and developing actionable recommendations
